The Power of One

 We all have the ability to have a positive influence on those around us. Every great invention, every important humanitarian movement, every great idea, began with the power of one. One person, One thought, One action.

I look around me and I see misery. Not everywhere but it is there. It may be under the skin, behind the smile, echoing in the laughter.........ITS THERE. I read about hardships, pain and addictions. I see the stories on the TV I hear the gossip amongst friends and loved ones. And I shake my head in disbelief at the blatant contradictions people are living with.

When did it become customary to be LESS THAN YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO BE ALL YOU CAN BE? Why do people think that successful people are anything but hard working out of the box thinkers? Is it considered BAD that 3% of the global population decided to believe in themselves and take the necessary steps which included risk to changed or enhance their lifestyle AND BECOME RICH? I shake my head again in disbelief at all the self inflicted grief that people insist on thinking about.

I read a comment on Facebook the other day. It said it is not about how much money you have or about the size of your house.......It’s about caring for people and being cared for in return. OMGosh I thought, AND AGAIN I SHOOK MY HEAD.

Life is about living, in my opinion. It’s about being all you can be. Pushing yourself to limits you never knew were possible. It is about believing and dreaming of a world less travelled, the path not taken. Living outside the box and choosing your actions accordingly to your values. It’s about making love, not war.

It saddens we to think that so many people are living a life of sorrow, What if’s or If only’s. Where do we find the Mother Teresa’s of the world? The Einstiens.........or the Van Goghs. Are they here but not heard because we as a society have a desire to live in a world of PAIN? I shake my head again.

It’s about “the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels and the trouble makers. The round pegs in the square holes. It’s about the ONE’S THAT SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY. These people are not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote these people or disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you cannot do is IGNORE THEM, because these people CHANGE THINGS. They push the human race forward. And well some may see them as the crazy ones, we see GENIOUS ......Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. THINK DIFFERENT!

Life is short, so never doubt yourself or the power within you to make a difference in this amazing world we live.
