Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I want to?
I like to think of myself as indestructible, a warrior on a mission at times. I am woman with a purpose and a desire to create a change. I have leaned over the years that the moment you start helping others you start shaping your own destiny.
Have you ever wondered what is more valuable, time or money? I was asked this question recently and was surprised with my answers. At first I thought money was, and then I thought time was. With money you can buy time........but without time your money is useless. This thought took me to another thought. We live in a world fragmented with thoughts, possibilities, options, opinions etc. But when do we really get to the heart of the matter and begin living a lifestyle congruent with our values and beliefs.
There is so much life out there. There is so much to do, to see and be a part of. But we let it pass us by each time we say “I don’t have time for that.” Even if ‘that’ was your ticket to paradise people would still deny it. That saddens me and inspires me to help you start living your best life. The life you have been dreaming of.
So how do we detach ourselves from the hustle and bustle and begin living again. How do we bring purpose and passion back into our lives? Well we can start with what we can change which will lead us into other areas.
1. Start making relations with people again. Introduce yourself to the people you do business with. It is worthwhile to build relationships, to get on the customer list. The best stores and/or managers/sales people will always have customer lists to notify consumers of specials, upcoming surprises, events, coupons etc. You want these people working for you and providing value for your dollar.
2. Pay some to do your housework. Yes pay someone....your time is valuable. It could be spent with your loved ones, your children, volunteering, etc.
3. Take a class or two. There is no ledge like knowledge. The more you learn the more intrinsic you become.
4. Build a web site. It is estimated that 93% of consumers surf the internet to research a product or make a purchase. People are buying on line and with a little professional help an automated site can be set up. The point being that your time is very valuable and the more you have working for you the more time you have to live your dream life.
5. Be all you can be. Be true to yourself. Spend more time doing the things that enhance your well being. I get up at 5am each morning and spend a couple of hours reading/answering emails then to the gym then business. By the time 11pm rolls around I am exhausted and looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. WHY? Because it is my life and I am creating it to suit my needs and desires.
When you start helping others live their best life your very own destiny begins to take shape. It’s contagious. Be all you can be.
